In short
- Everything you enter stays on your phone.
- There is no account, no advertising and no analytics.
- The app has no internet permission, so it cannot send anything anywhere.
- The developer receives no data from the app.
1What the app processes
Only what you type in or choose yourself:
- the home profile: name, type, year built, notes;
- rooms, doors and windows: names, material, opening type, glazing, sizes, year fitted, notes;
- inspections: your answers to the checklist, dates, comments;
- issues: category, severity, notes, observations, status;
- repair work: titles, cost estimates and actual costs, dates;
- planned tasks and their dates;
- photos you pick from the gallery;
- settings: language, default inspection interval, the active home.
The app does not ask for a name, an e-mail address, a postal address or any account. You may give a home any name you like; the app does not need a real address.
2Where it is kept
On your device, in the app’s private storage. Photos are saved as downscaled copies in the app’s private folder.
Android cloud backup is switched off for the app, so the data is not copied to your Google account either.
3What leaves the device
Nothing leaves the device by itself. The app has no internet permission.
The only way data leaves is when you create a PDF report and choose an app in the Android share menu, for example e-mail, a messaging app, a cloud drive or a printer. From that point the app you chose handles the file under its own terms. The report contains what you selected: the name of the home, door and window details, issues, repair work and, if you tick them, photos.
The report file is written to the app’s cache folder first and is overwritten by the next report with the same date.
4Third parties
None. The app contains no analytics, crash reporting, advertising, maps, sign-in or cloud service. The developer receives no data from the app.
5Permissions
The app requests no Android permissions. Photos are chosen with the Android system photo picker, which hands the app only the pictures you tap. The app has no access to the camera, location, contacts, microphone or notifications.
6Notifications
The app never sends notifications. Checks that are due or overdue are shown inside the app only.
7Keeping and deleting data
Your data is kept until you delete it. You can delete:
- single records;
- a whole home, under Settings → Homes;
- everything at once, under Settings → Delete all data.
Photos that are no longer used by any record are deleted from the app’s folder. Uninstalling the app removes all of its data from the device.
Because the developer holds none of your data, there is nothing to request, export or delete on a server. If you have a question about this, write to the address below.
8Children
The app is a home-maintenance tool for adults. It is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.
9Not a professional service
The checklists and advice in the app are general guidance and do not replace an inspection by a qualified professional.

This website (doorwindowcheck.click) sets no cookies and contains no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. It has no forms. Fonts and images are served from the site itself.
11Changes to this policy
If a later version of the app changes how data is handled, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the date at the top will change.
